How did you end up in recruitment for the construction industry?
I studied Architecture at Nottingham Trent University and I somehow fell into recruitment within the construction arena and it was then that I released I had found a real passion.
What do you enjoy about running a recruitment agency that specialises in construction?
I love working with people and ensuring that candidates land the right job. I also really enjoy liaising with companies ensuring that they recruit the right talent that fits well with their company. Whilst recruitment is a serious business, I do like the banter I have with my clients and colleagues.
What achievements are you most proud of?
For me personally, I am proud of the high-quality work we deliver, we pride ourselves in creating partnerships with clients and candidates and we generate a lot of repeat business! I think that’s the RCM way! We recently received approved membership status of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation – this highlights that we work to a high set of standards and are committed to a code of professional practice!
Can you give any tips for choosing a recruitment company?
As recruitment is very much focussed on the human aspect – it is important to choose a recruitment agency that feels right for you and your business. It is about quality.
How do you switch off from your busy job as a M.D at RCM?
In my spare time I enjoy socialising with friends and I also can’t wait to travel again!
